Just as this crazy year we call 2018 is starting to wrap up, I’m looking forward for 2019 to begin. 2018 was such a wild year for so many reasons, but personally it was one of my strongest and most satisfying years in recent memory. Here’s hoping for that streak to continue into the new year!
Always found it interesting how someone from one subculture can be so excited about an object that is essentially invisible to everyone outside of that culture. Case in point, this seemingly average Toyota pickup. To the general public, it's just some beatup Toyota truck. But for those in the know, it's a rare, grey-market imported outback/sahara/anywhere-ready legend.
Needless to say, it's easy to guess how I reacted when I saw this.
Just a shot I took back when I rented Canon's magical 85mm 1.2L. Stunning lens to isolate subjects, but I'm always surprised at how limited it's performance tends to be. If I wasn't shooting portraits, I was pining for a different lens. But, equipment plays a minor role in great pics, so it's best just to change goals and find a new way to get that shot.
Doesn't take much to remind me how lucky I am to be to live in this part of the world.
Even after living here for half a decade, I never grow old of the amazing views SF has to offer.
