2019 UK / Scotland 4
First full day within Edinburgh. Many places were still closed as it was January 1st, but fortunately a Mexican restaurant and the National Museum of Scotland managed to be open so we spent most of our time sticking to the inner city.
2019 UK / Scotland 3
After dropping off the rental at the airport, we headed into Edinburgh where we’ll be staying for the next few days. Fortunately it seemed that we arrived just before the crowd rush for the New Year’s celebration, so after checking into our hotel we wandered around the city for a while as we awaited the count down.
2019 UK / Scotland 2
Day two was probably our most eventful day of the trip, so I’ll be splitting it into two posts. First up, wrapping up driving through the highlands.
2019 UK / Scotland 1
Starting the year off with a new experience, out in cold old Scotland. Amazingly, it was also a (mostly) dry experience and while we were secretly hoping for snow, it was probably for the best that we didn’t since we were moving around a LOT. The trip covered the Scottish Highlands, Edinburgh, London, and ending at Dublin. Here are the pics from the first day as we drove up to Loch Ness.
Crossing over into 2019
Just as this crazy year we call 2018 is starting to wrap up, I’m looking forward for 2019 to begin. 2018 was such a wild year for so many reasons, but personally it was one of my strongest and most satisfying years in recent memory. Here’s hoping for that streak to continue into the new year!
Day at the Park(er)
Testing out the Voigtlander 40mm f/2 on the Nikon Z6. Pretty happy with the results!
2018 LA Autoshow
New camera, new reason to take photos again, new reason to blue again! Here’s some pics taken at the LA Autoshow this year. Yeah it was a while ago, but it was only just recently that an update for Adobe arrived which can now convert the new Nikon RAW format, so good reason to post some stuff up!
Overall pretty happy with the camera, though I noticed that I do need to be more mindful with the autofocusing compared to the Canon. This was shot entirely using the 24-70 f/4 Z-Mount, so we’ll see how the 40 f/2 Voigtlander will fare in the next shoot.
